Pop art

Walking in a supermarket these days I found this:

It was the first time I saw Campbell's soup in real life, not in an Andy Warhol's frame. The first thing that "Pop" into my mind was the tradition of this object. Known throughout the whole world as a priceless painting collections, the can was being sold there, in front of me, for just €1,49. At the moment I had no doubts I would buy it. The only question was Mushrooms or Tomato. I picked Mushrooms.
Left the supermarket and couldn't wait no longer to get home and try the soup. Actually, I didn't care about the soup at any moment, I just wanted that can. I was not hungry when I got home, but started preparing my precious soup straight away. Opened the lid carefully not to wreck the can. I was a bit frustrated at the sight of it. The soup looks like something disgusting and smelly. Something else but soup.
I checked the cooking instructions and found to add some water to that goo. The apperance was fine, the smell was really strong but kinda acceptable. Decided to put some cheese. Cheese always makes everything better. But not this time. I can't figure out any ingredient to make that soup better. The only way to swallow it down was by dunking some bread on it. When my bread was finished, the soup was over for me. Can't remember having such a terrible meal in ages. That taste makes me wonder the power of propaganda. I bought the soup solely for its can. If I were hungry I would be pissed off with Campbell's company and Andy Warhol.
Well, the soup sucks: okay. But after dinner I had the can washed, sterilized, dried and ready to go. Now it's part of my bedroom's furniture. A brand new stylish pencil case. I believe that part of life consists in making art wherever you can find it. Also, I was lacking a pencil case.
